The cabin, built in 1885, is the second oldest standing cabin in the Wolffork valley- and there are many! The cabin is known hereabouts as "the old Hopper cabin" after its original owner, the valley blacksmith by the same name. The feeling that you have stepped back into another century warms you as you enter this beautifully restored and elegantly appointed home.
Upon purchasing the cabin and the main dwelling in 1998, your hosts, the Maxwell's have tirelessly set about transforming the dwellings and grounds into a wonderful setting with immaculate landscaping, incorporating the beautiful native species of rhododendron, laurel and mountain hardwoods with a palette of gorgeous year round bloomers ...serenity blossoms as you soak up the atmosphere ...
